The Top Caye Caulker Hotels
From beach bungalows to luxurious boutique hotels, here are my top choices for hotels in Caye Caulker.
1. Weezie’s Ocean Front Hotel and Garden Cottages
How about an oceanfront boutique hotel? This modern and pristine property has everything you need for a relaxing stay: perfect sunset views, a palm tree-lined loungy pool area, and airy rooms.
Situated on the eastern shore of Caye Caulker, you have access to beaches and a spacious private dock to enjoy the scenery.
If that doesn’t convince you, wait until you see the hotel and cottages themselves.
It’s neat, with high ceilings, and filled with modern amenities. Enjoy cooking in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen.
There’s also air conditioning (which you’ll need), and free use of kayaks, paddle boards, and canoe equipment!
2. Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel
Dip your toes in the laid-back island lifestyle without sacrificing comfort and luxury by staying at the Barefoot Hotel.
This hotel is conveniently located near the Belize Barrier Reef and a ten-minute walk from “The Split,” which is the main hangout spot on the island.
If you want to be in the thick of water and beach activities, this would be a great place to stay.
The hotel itself has a lovely outdoor pool with sun loungers, a poolside bar, and a rooftop terrace. The air-conditioned rooms have comfy beds, Wi-Fi, elegant kitchenettes, a smart TV, and complimentary toiletries.
3. Bay Towers Hotel
This is one of the few pet-friendly hotels on this list!
Bay Towers is a boutique aparthotel with six units, each individually furnished for that personal touch.
It also has some of the prettiest ocean views, only minutes away from the Belize Barrier Reef, Caye Caulker Marine Reserve, and The Split.
Your unit will feel like your home away from home, as each one has a minibar, a fully equipped kitchen, a coffee machine, a private yard, a dining table, and spacious bathrooms.
Take advantage of the barbeque facilities, rooftop terrace, picnic area, dock, and outdoor pool.
4. El Ben Cabañas
El Ben Cabañas offers something a bit more unique. Instead of a traditional hotel, this property has postcard-worthy beach bungalows, thatched roofs, and porches.
These bungalows feel way more private, which is ideal for couples and honeymooners. Plus, they’re on a beachfront property surrounded by palm trees, romantic water docks, and calm beaches.
It’s also close to Caye Caulker Marine Reserve and The Split. You can lounge by the outdoor pool, take long walks on the beach, or treat yourself to a massage the onsite spa facilities.
Other standout amenities include two beach bars, laundry facilities, a garden, and an onsite restaurant, T&T Bar and Grill.
5. Iguana Reef Inn
Iguana Reef Inn is a small yet lavish boutique hotel that promises a smooth Caribbean island experience.
The property is in the heart of a charming fishing village, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture.
The inn is one of Caye Caulker’s more upscale lodgings, featuring sand-colored buildings fanned by palm trees and surrounded by a stunning sky-blue ocean.
Relax and take in the views from its gorgeous terraces or sun loungers by the water, or grab a drink at one of the on-site bars.
6. Costa Nube
The Costa Nube is ideal lodging on Caye Caulker thanks to its stellar location and cozy setup. The vibes are very chill, homey, and no-fuss, which makes it worth the 5 stars.
Enjoy a large room with a fully-fitted kitchenette, a dining table, and a patio with garden and sea views.
The hotel offers free bikes to its guests, which you can use to explore the island (no cars allowed here!)
There’s also a shared lounge and barbeque facilities if you’re open to mingling with other guests. Other amenities range from coffee machines to Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
7. Treetops Hotel
This beachfront property has stunning rooms with ensuites and an open-plan kitchen and dining area, including a working desk.
The decor is magazine-worthy, combining beachy/bohemian elements with an overall pared-back style.
Oh, and the gorgeous oceanscapes from this hotel are to die for. The scenery alone is enough to make you want to book a stay, but the hotel also has a private beach, so you’ll have a slice of paradise all to yourself.
Treetops Hotel is a great option for adventure because they offer snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, and canoeing available onsite.
8. Caye Reef Condos
This is another five-star Caye Caulker accommodation that you’ll need to book early!
Since Caye Reef Condos has a private beach area, an outdoor swimming pool, and Wi-Fi throughout the property, it’s easy to see why a lot of people choose to stay here.
These beachfront condos are individually decorated with a lounge, dining areas, and fully-equipped kitchens.
The best part? Each one features a breezy balcony with lovely views and outdoor chairs. Relax by the outdoor pool and loungers, or enjoy a nap in one of the hammocks after submerging in the luxurious hot tub.
9. La Isla Resort
Located on a private white sand beach, La Isla Resort is your answer to a fabulous island vacation.
Stay in stylish rooms with crisp white bedding, neat ensuites, and adorable kitchenettes.
It’s the ideal spot if you’re looking for comfort and convenience without splurging too much.
Parking, Wi-Fi, and housekeeping are included in your stay. There’s a medium-sized outdoor pool to splash in on hot days with loungers to relax. You can dine at the two onsite restaurants, the Cascade Lounge and Tropical Paradise, if you wish.
10. Island Magic Beach Resort
The Island Magic Beach Resort is centrally located on the island, near two major airports, Belize Airport and San Pedro Airport. This makes it the perfect little hotel to experience the beating heart of Caye Caulker.
The rooms are modest, simple, and open up to balconies with the dreamiest seascapes, which you can admire from the comfort of a hammock.
Though smaller in size, you’ll still get plenty of storage space, an ensuite, and a kitchenette in your unit.
11. Penthouse Velento
Next up, I present to you a beautiful penthouse-style hotel.
This property has several condos facing the ocean, with a wonderful pool area and a private dock. Spend your days lounging on the dock as the turquoise waters surround you.
Visit a handful of restaurants that are only a few minutes’ walk away, such as the Iguana Beach Bar, Swings Bar And Restaurant, and I&I Reggae Bar.
Back to the hotel, your penthouse is absolutely stunning, with so much room to move around, including a spacious kitchen.
Unwind in the open-plan living area, and have your meals at the dinner table, both leading out to lovely balconies overlooking the ocean.
12. Colinda Cabanas

Start your mornings at the on-site café, serving Italian espresso, fresh smoothies, and toasted breakfast sandwiches.
FAQs About Where to Stay in Caye Caulker
Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about staying at a Caye Caulker hotel.
How Many Days Do You Need in Caye Caulker?
Three full days to a week is the perfect amount of time to enjoy this magical island. It gives you enough time to explore, relax, and experience all the highlights without feeling rushed.
Spending a few days on Caye Caulker is the perfect way to kick off a larger Belize itinerary.
Can You Drink Tap Water at a Hotel in Caye Caulker?
It depends on the location, but it’s best to avoid tap water in Caye Caulker to be safe. Most hotels will let you know their water situation and typically provide bottled water for guests.
When Is the Best Time of the Year to Visit Caye Caulker?
It really comes down to your budget and priorities. If you’re aiming for sunny days and clear skies, plan your trip between January and April.
This is Belize’s dry season, but it’s also peak tourism time, so there are also bigger crowds and higher prices. There are only so many hotels on the island, so you also need to book far in advance!
On the other hand, the low season (June to mid-November) is a great option for finding deals on hotels and attractions.
Just keep in mind that this time of year comes with unpredictable weather, including heavy rain and the potential for hurricanes.
