Do you accept guest posts on The Adventures Atlas?

We are currently not accepting guest posts at this time. However, this might change so please feel free to check back at a later date!

What camera do you use?

I currently shoot with the Canon EOS R5 and RF lenses. My most used lens is the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8. My videos are filmed on the iPhone 13 Pro.

Do you create custom itineraries?

Custom itineraries are available for select destinations and start at $25/day. For more information, please enquire using the form below or send an email to hello@jkrow.com with more information on your destination, length of time, and desired activities.

How do you afford to travel so much?

Contrary to popular belief, this is not my full time job! I actually fund a lot of my travels through my 9-5 job in pharmaceuticals. I also supplement my trips through photography gigs, travel blogging, and content creation on Instagram.

What camera would you recommend for a beginner?

I highly recommend the Fujifilm XT30, which is a beginner friendly mirrorless system that is intuitive, high quality, and lightweight. I recommend starting with the kit lens and then upgrading to more professional lenses as you refine your skills.

Other great mirrorless options are the Sony Alpha A6100 and the Canon EOS M6 Mark II.

For a more compact option, the Canon Powershot G1X Mark III and G5X Mark II are powerful point-and-shoot cameras that give you excellent image quality and slip right into your jacket pocket!

But keep in mind that simply buying a professional camera will not give you professional results. Whether it’s a smart phone or a GoPro, the gear you already have is perfect for learning the principles of photography before investing in an expensive camera system
