I fear I will never recover from this.
If you could only buy one pair of barefoot hiking boots, which one would you choose?
My coolest room tour yet tbh
I’m still wrapping my head around the fact that this place actually exists 🥹

I frequently wonder what the world looked like before humans came around and I think South Georgia answered my question 🥹

I’ve worn @vivobarefoot Tracker Forest ESCs on some of the toughest and longest hikes I’ve done. And they’ve held up on all sorts of terrain, from Patagonia and Iceland to the trails in the ADK.
But Vivo recently sent me the Tracker Leather and Tracker Textile so that I could test all three of the Tracker boots side by side.
All three of these boots are part of the same “boot family”. They all have a wide toe box, flexible sole, and barefoot feel so you can feel the ground as you walk.
However, each one was designed with slightly different conditions in mind. Here are my honest first impressions:
🥾 Tracker Forest ESC: This one is the most rugged and versatile. They’re the heaviest boot of the three, but I think they’re perfect for backcountry hikes and all kinds of terrain/weather (I recently brought these to hike waterfalls and rivers in Iceland and they didn’t leak once). They also have a slightly thicker sole, which is great if this is your first pair of barefoot boots.
🥶 Tracker Leather: I LOVE the way these look. They’re also very comfortable, warm and water resistant, which is best for longer, colder hikes.
🌲 Tracker Textile: These are the lightest, very flexible right out of the box, and 100% waterproof. Theyre also made with all vegan materials. I think they’re great for everyday hikes, travel, and for wet conditions.
🎯 Overall, my pick would still be the Forest ESCs because I feel like they’re the most versatile overall, despite being slightly heavier in weight. But I do think the Textile is a close second if you want something lighter and 100% waterproof.

We spent the last few days exploring the Falkland Islands with @lindbladexp, hopping between remote places like New Island, Carcass Island and Saunders Island, watching penguins waddle past us on empty white sand beaches, observing rookeries along the cliffs and learning how critical these islands are for global bird conservation.
👉 Swipe to the end to see how rock hopper penguins get their name 😆

It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally left my cube to take a bet on myself for the adventure of a lifetime with @lindbladexp 🥹
We’ve set off from Ushuaia, Argentina and are spending the next 22 days exploring the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica.
When I get home it’ll be jumping into full time content creation to continue building the business that we’ve spent the last 7 years juggling with a 9-5. For the first time in a LONG time, I can’t see what’s coming next, but I’m so excited to see where this journey will take me (and to finally have my weekends back - maybe).
For now, follow along on our trip and please prepare your feed for my 900 posts about Antarctica and everything you need to know if you want to visit.
